Saying Goodbye to Tiara

I haven’t been looking forward to sharing this post, even though I have been preparing for awhile now. Two weeks ago we said goodbye to our beautiful baby girl, Tiara Marie.

To say we are heartbroken would be an understatement. I know that so many of you can relate. And yet, as I’ve taken these days since to mourn, I am filled with so much love, reflecting on so much joy, and feeling so blessed to have been able to be her mamma, her person. (Read More...)

Stephen Lay is Slay’in it!

Some of the best connections I have made for At a Glance has been through social media. Those connections were achieved by just general chatting and engaging with individuals, and this occurred even with all of social media‘s faults. I’ve been so fortunate to have found conversation with some wonderful and creative people, most of whom I would probably never run across in my regular day-to-day activities.

One of those engagements is a gentleman I have now known for quite some time across multiple platforms. We met back in the dark ages when X was known as Twitter, and when #FridayFollow (or #FollowFriday) was all the rage! I ran across Stephen while tweeting with a mutual artist friend. His fun, quirky art work caught my eye, and his kind and light hearted nature set him apart from other individuals. Throughout the years since those early days, Stephen has kept me updated on his art and the various journeys it has taken.  (Read More...)

Remembering Trevor Gordon

Updated June 26, 2025

Trevor Gordon was an accomplished recording artist, performer, and literary published musician who experienced the excitement of fame and the downside of the machinations of the music business. Trevor was someone whose full potential was possibly never brought to fruition in a life that was much too short.

Trevor‘s life story ended in London on January 10, 2013 at the age of 64. Local officials were contacted for a wellness check by his friend, Peter Foldy, who lives in California. Upon arrival, the local officials discovered Trevor deceased in his apartment… (Read More...)

Luna Collins and a Love for Lemons

I actually can’t remember exactly when I first came across Luna Collins. I do know that it was on one of our mutual social media platforms. I’m pretty sure we were discussing the Bee Gees or some other musically inclined group. We seemed to hit it off right away and struck up a friendship. Luna is one of those types of people that you instantly feel very comfortable with. There’s just a feeling you get, like she has an old soul. She’s very thoughtful in her words, slow to speak, quick to listen.

I have a feeling these attributes have not hindered, but rather aided her in her songwritingLuna is a musician you see, and she prides storytelling as something she strives for in her songwriting. Being a good listener and a thoughtful thinker surely must provide added insight to draw her creativity from. (Read More…)

Music Man Fernando Perdomo

Fernando Perdomo first came across my radar back in 2008. I was attending a concert where he was playing Lead Guitar for Hilary McRae. He caught my eye as the larger than life figure who commanded the stage with his guitar playing. From my view of the standing room only front row position, he made quite the impression. Following the show, I searched out the musicians and found Fern and a few of the others on social media, and have been following their careers ever since. (Read More…)

Discovering Dane Clark

Christian holding an expense book from Queen‘s 1976 tour that was found amongst Dane‘s things

Imagine with me for a moment… one day, out of the blue, you discover one of your relatives has led a life that you could only dream of! They worked and played with some of the biggest celebrities of the day… and you had no idea! And then think what would you do if they left you boxes of items from that lifetime!

Well, that’s exactly what happened to Christian Clark. His grandfatherDane Clark, spent time with the likes of Elton JohnFreddie Mercury and the band Queen. He worked with television stars of the day, and other household names that you would read about in gossip magazines. He was part of the jet-set that traveled on tour with bands, and worked at fancy venues backstage and on stage in glitzy places like Las Vegas. (read more...)

Meet the Authors of “Decades: The Bee Gees”

Decades: The Bee Gees – A Book Series

On December 3, 2023, Barry Gibb was celebrated for his lifetime artistic achievements as one of the Honorees at The Kennedy Center Honors held at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.CBarry has achieved a level of songwriting that is not just prolific, but chart topping, and award winning. He along with brothers Robin and Maurice made up the musical group the Bee Gees and their music has spanned over 50 years.

The catalog of the brothers Gibb music (as Bee Gees and solo work) is so vast, documenting it would be a monumental task. So monumental in fact, that publishing the contents would take multiple books. Well, as luck would have it, I just happen to be acquainted with the gentlemen who are working on that monumental task! These three gentlemen’s work is being published in a series of books entitled Decades: The Bee Gees, and to start us off, here is a description from the Decades website… (Read More…)

Collecting Treasures with David Fedor and “Bee Gees and Me”

Recently I had the opportunity to discuss a topic that is near and dear to my heart. Let me give you a little background…

As the Covid lockdown fell upon us, I began to focus my online time to things that would make me happy. I started to rediscover my love of music (it never really left, just had been neglected for quite some time) and in doing so, I stumbled upon the Bee Gees and their extensive music catalog. I have always been a fan of the group, but whether it was the dark days of isolation due to Covid or whatever reason, the timing became perfect for me to take on a deep dive to know everything I could about the Brothers Gibb. I began watching every YouTube video, scouring every website, and haunting all of the social media platforms. I started purchasing their music on CDs and when I got past that point, I started collecting vinyl. I purchased all sorts of books, and then the memorabilia started. I couldn’t get enough. I will be the first to admit that even during non pandemic times, I have a “collection” personality. I want it ALL! (Read more…)
