Down through the years, one of my most favorite people to feature in At a Glance has been musician and actor Mr. Will Bowes. Will is one of those people who has been blessed with the creativity and talent of multiple mediums. His IMDB credits reflect a range of television and film positions, and his love of music has reached from composer in those same fields, to his own solo recording career, as well as front man for the Toronto based band, Gold Complex. All of that, and the fact that he’s just genuinely a nice guy, keeps me inspired to showcase his work. (Read more…)

“All Sorts” of Filmmaking Fun!
“Through a secret door behind the office vending machine, a lonely data entry clerk named Diego finds the magical world of championship folder filing. As he coaches his talented coworker June in the competition, the two begin to fall in love…but do they really have a shot, or are they just fooling themselves?”
This is the quirky world of All Sorts! All Sorts is an Independent Feature Film that I somehow had the privilege to be a part of! Filming for three weeks in my hometown of Yakima, Washington, I spent 18 days immersed in the art, the magic and the family of filmmaking. (Read More…)
Will Bowes and Gold Complex

In 2013 I published a Feature titled Striking Gold with Will Bowes. Will is an actor I became acquainted with following his appearance in a TV series I was interested in. When he agreed to do the original Feature, I found that there was much more to this guy than being an actor. Multi-talented, Will is involved in many aspects connected to television and film besides acting, and he is also a gifted musician who currently is the front man for a band titled Gold Complex. Funny how the previous Feature’s title seems to have been a prediction of GOLD things to come for Will… FATE, as he put it. Read more…
“Can’t Help Falling in Love” with Luis

The great thing about doing my own blog is that I am able to select Feature content that really appeals to me, and in turn, what I think others will enjoy as well. I like to focus on people who may be getting a foothold in their career or are involved in a specific part of an industry that I’d like to discover more about. When the magic happens and all of that comes together, I am fortunate to share with you talented people like today’s Feature on Luis Maesso.
Awhile back I ran across Luis on Twitter after he had recently stared in a very successful television commercial for Extra Gum. In the commercial titled Extra Gum: The Story of Sarah and Juan, Luis plays the role of Juan… Read More…

Congratulations to Geoffrey Breton for being announced as a Finalist in the BBC Audio Drama Awards for 2014! Geoffrey was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for Imaginary Boys, produced and directed by Scott Handcock, BBC Radio Drama Cymru/Wales for Radio 4. I was fortunate to interview Geoffrey for a Feature and am very happy for him with the distinction of this nomination!
You can also check out one of Geoffrey‘s projects we’ve been following, the music film short for Chris Hyson‘s Button Eyes, as well as another film short, Glance.
Eoin Macken – Chats Cold

Eoin Macken’s name may not be familiar to you, but his face could be. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Eoin was selected at the ripe age of 19 as the Face of Abercrombie & Fitch, a well-known American clothing retailer. Eoin modeled successfully for A&F as well as other high end bookings before moving on to become a talented actor, writer, producer, director, and cinematographer.
I first learned of Eoin’s talents on the BBC Series Merlin where he brought to life King Arthur’s lovable knight, Sir Gwaine. It was on the set of Merlin where Eoin met his good friend Tom Hopper. Their friendship led them down a road of creativity from which an Independent Feature Film was created entitled Cold. Read More…

Geoffrey Breton is featured in a new film short titled Glance. The short is directed by Conkerco with an amazing score by Keith Kenniff. Molly Gromadzki also stars. The film is moving and powerful, all the while portrayed as subtle and surreal. To find out more about Geoffrey, check out our previous Feature on him and his work. We are looking forward to his music film short project… Read More…
Aaron Poole – A Man for All Seasons

Aaron Poole is one of those actors who wouldn’t surprise you to see turn up in just about any genre of film or television. He has that natural ability to get lost in the character and portray types vastly apart from each other. Although you may not be quite familiar with his name, there’s a good chance that you will actually recognize Aaron from his extensive body of acting. Having just wrapped a Feature Film alongside Kiefer and Donald Sutherland, Aaron has also worked in productions with Richard Dreyfuss, Orphan Black’s darling Tatiana Maslany, Vanessa Redgrave, Julian Richings, and Samuel L. Jackson to name just a few. Read More...
Geoffrey Breton – Chain Reaction

One thing I have found from featuring amazing people and projects in At a Glance is that they are always surrounded by other amazing people and projects. I have been fortunate at times to be able to chain reaction, if you will, talent into multiple connected Features. These connections provide an expanded view of previous Features and opens up conversations in other directions as well.
Previously I published a Feature on musician Chris Hyson, and then followed with a Feature update announcing the filming of a music video being produced for one of Chris’ compositions. In the update it was noted that along with actor Alexander Vlahos, the video would be directed by Geoffrey Breton. From my research, it was evident that Geoffrey is a major up and comer in the film industry, working as Associate Director at Wolfheart Productions, who just happens to be producers of Chris‘s music video. I jumped at the chance to be able to find out more about Geoffrey’s work, so after contacting him to see if he would be willing to chat with us, he luckily managed to clear a little time away and gives us a glimpse into his world. Striking Gold with Will Bowes
Doing interviews for this blog has been an interesting experience for me. Sometimes I set out very purposefully to “snag” a specific someone to interview…and sometimes I just happen to stumble upon someone and amazing things happen. The later was the case with Will Bowes. I first became aware of Will due to my avid addiction to BBC America’s Copper. Will’s character, Phinbar Byrnes, or more affectionately nicknamed Little Byrnes, adds a sort of naivety mixed with humor to the often times dark story line, which in turn has endeared him to the audience. Running across him by chance on Twitter (where I have been able to network the majority of my interviews!) and exchanging niceties about his recent episode, it rather randomly occurred to me to approach him about a Q and A. To my delight he agreed to take me on and what has resulted is an interesting interview with a guy who is so much more than I had any knowledge of at the onset. I found a gold mine and am now here to share the claim with all of you! Read More…
